In a recent segment of FOX 2 Detroit's Cooking School, our founder, Ping Ho, and Phil Cassise, the Vice President of Produce, Meat & Seafood for Plum Market, came together to showcase our Marrow Detroit Provisions sausages, now available at Plum Market's four Michigan Locations.
Ping shared her excitement about this milestone, stating in the segment, "Over the last year, we've been focused on expanding the meat side of our business. So on Memorial Day, we proudly launched our sausages at Plum Market's four different stores. That was a big achievement for us."
Sausages will always hold a special place in Marrow's product lineup. Ping grew up in Singapore and shared her perspective on sausages, saying, "Every culture has a sausage. It's a part of the animal that is ground up. Especially immigrant cultures, especially cultures that used to be poor, you want to use every part of the animal. That's our philosophy at Marrow: no waste, use every part as much as we can, full utilization." This philosophy is at the heart of our mission and guides how we create our products.
The response from Plum Market's guests has been overwhelmingly positive. When asked about the reception since the sausages hit the shelves, Phil Cassise enthusiastically shared, "It's been going very well. It's very well received by our guests. They really like to support a local company."
